UCL Match Day 3: Best Bets & Player Props

Monaco @ Club Brugge

The Belgium side Club Brugge who made a surprise run to the Champions League knockout stages last year will host a Monaco squad coming off a 3rd place finish in Ligue 1 last season. Club Brugge have been in superb form at home so far this season winning all 4 of their recent home encounters. Monaco have struggled in their away matches so far winning just 1 out of 3 and scoring 0 goals in both losses. I like Club Brugge to pick up where they left off last year with a strong performance against a quality side in their opening match.

Best Bet: Club Brugge ML (+135)

Bayer Leverkusen @ FC Copenhagen

Last year’s Danish champions will host Bayer Leverkusen with new boss Kasper Hjulmand at the helm. FC Copenhagen were rocked by a 2-1 defeat to their biggest rivals in the Danish Superliga, Brondby this past weekend. Meanwhile, Leverkusen replaced manager Erik ten Hag with Hjulmand before their most recent fixture and kicked off his managerial career with a 3-1 win over a strong Eintracht Frankfurt side. The German side did receive a big blow as influential midfielder Exequiel Palacios was forced to undergo surgery following a serious abuctor injury over the weekend. I like Leverkusen to overcome that injury with their depth and quality taking down Copenhagen in Denmark.

Best Bet: Bayer Leverkusen ML (+135)

Barcelona @ Newcastle United

Newcastle will host the Spanish giant Barcelona in a fantastic meeting between two quality sides on match day 3. Newcastle have had an up and down start to their Premier League season with a recent 1-0 win over Wolverhampton this past weekend providing positive momentum. Barcelona have been their usual attacking side under former German manager Hansi Flick scoring a ridiculous 6 goals against Valencia in their last league game. Flick’s team have scored at least 3 goals in 3 of their 4 matches so far in the Spanish top tier this season. I like the total of 3 goals to go over in this encounter as both sides are capable of scoring goals with Barcelona coming out on top as they usually do against English competition in this tournament. Check out Brazilian winger Raphinha’s odds to score a goal as he is coming off a fantastic season and scored twice in Barcelona’s last fixture.

Best Bets: Over 3 Goals (-120), Barcelona ML (+170)

Player Props: Raphina Over .5 Goals (+270)

Manchester City continue their momentum after they bounced back from consecutive Premier League defeats with a 3-0 shutout over their neighbors Manchester United. Napoli will return City legend Kevin De Bruyne back to Etihad after he joined the Italian side this past summer. De Bruybe has had a strong start to his 2025 season with Napoli scoring 2 goals in his first 3 appearances including a goal in their recent 3-1 defeat of Fiorentina. City will be without midfielders Mateo Kovacic and Kalvin Phillips as well as young winger Rayan Cherki in this contest. I like Napoli’s attacking trio of ex-Premier League players that includes a pair of ex-Manchester United players in Scott McTominay and Rasmus Hojlund to exact revenge against Pep Guardioala’s squad.

Best Bet: Napoli (+410)
