TNF Ravens-Dolphins: Best Bets & Player Props

Intro

Lamar Jackson finally returns for the Baltimore Ravens as they travel to Miami, FL for a meeting with the Dolphins. Who ended their 3 game losing streak with a 34-10 win over the Kirk Cousin’s led Falcons last week. The Ravens and their backup QB Snoop Huntley got a massive win last week over the Bears 30-16 to end a 4 game losing streak. Since 1970 only 4 teams have made the playoffs following a 1-5 start to the season. Jackson’s return will be a massive boost to a team that entered the season with Super Bowl hopes.

Statistical Analysis

The Dolphins are coming off their best defensive performance of the season as they held Bijan Robinson to just 25 rush yards and the Falcons entire team to only 45 total rush yards. Tua also had his best game of the season completing 76.9% of his passes to go along with 4 TD’s. He will be facing a Ravens defense which has been struggling to generate pressure averaging just 1.3 sacks per game 30th in the NFL although they did hold Caleb Williams and the Bears to just 16 points in their win last week.

Picks & Reasoning

With both defenses coming off their best performances of the season, I’ll take the points total of 50.5 to go under in this contest. The Ravens were 1-3 as a team even when Lamar was healthy at the beginning of the season, so I’ll also take Miami to cover as 7.5 point favorites at home. As far as player props go I’m going to go with Derrick Henry to get under 90.5 rush yards as he has produced significantly less this season with his yards per game down from 118 last year to 67 so far this season. Finally I’m going to bet on Ravens kicker Tyler Looper to have over 1.5 FG’s made after he made 3 last week against the Bears.

Best Bet: Under 50.5 (-110), Dolphins +7.5 (-110)

Player Props: Henry Under 90.5 Rush Yds (-115), Looper Over 1.5 FG’s (-115)
