MNF Cowboys-Cardinals: Best Bets & Player Props

Intro

The Arizona Cardinals will travel to Dallas in search of their first win in 6 weeks not including their bye last Sunday. While Dak Prescott and the Cowboys have been up and down throughout the year losing last time out to the Broncos at Mile High Stadium 44-24. Their defense has conceded 30 TD’s and 250 points in 8 games (31.2 ppg) and are not far off from the record-worst pace set by the Panthers defense last season. They will face backup Jacoby Brissett as Kyler Murray is still a limited practice participant with a foot injury.

Matchup

As mentioned before the Cowboys have a porous defense giving up a league worst 6.4 yards per play. However, the offense has been making up for their defensive shortcomings averaging an absurd 41.3 ppg and 441 ypg at home this season. In fact Prescott and the Cowboys are leading the league in passing while averaging 6.1 yards per play (7th). The Cardinals defense is allowing 234.9 pass yards per game the 25th worst total in the league, but have gotten stingy when needed only allowing 22 ppg (14th). Arizona’s 5 defeats have come by a total of 13 points and the winning score came in the final five minutes of each one .

Prediction

With the Cowboys boasting one of the league’s best offenses against a Cardinals team without their starting QB, I like Dallas to cover the 3.5 point spread as home favorites. Brissett will be able to move the ball though with how bad the Cowboy’s defense is, so expect plenty of points scored in this matchup. Finally I’ll be targeting both the TE’s for each team on player props as the Cowboy’s Jake Fergusoon has 51 receptions and 6 TD’s while Trey McBride leads his team with 47 receptions, 421 yards and 4 TD’s.

Best Bets: Cowboys -3.5 (+100), Over 54 (-110)

Player Props: Ferguson Over 40.5 Rec Yds (-110), McBride TD (+110)
