MNF Eagles-Packers: Best Bets & Player Props

Team News/Form

The Philadelphia Eagles fresh off a bye bolstered their defense at the trade deadline with a trio of acquisitions. LB Jaelan Phillips from the Dolphins, CB Michael Carter from the Jets, and CB Jaire Alexander from the Ravens all were added to the roster. In their last game the Eagles made quick work of the Giants 38-20 avenging their week 6 loss 34-17 to the G-men. The Packers are coming off a lackluster 16–13 home loss to the Panthers that snapped a 3 game winning streak. The Packers struggled to convert their chances in that matchup scoring just 1 TD in 5 red-zone oppurtunities. They also lost TE Tucker Kraft to a season-ending knee injury which was a crucial blow as he has a team-high 6 TD’s on 32 catches.

Statistical Analysis

Both teams have been up and down on offense scoring around 26 points per game tied for 10th in the league. While the Packers have been much more steady on offense thanks to the addition of Micah Parsons in the offseason. They lead the NFL only allowing 8 yards per completion as opposing QB’s have been forced to get the ball out quick to avoid the pass rush. The Eagles O-line has been uncharacteristically porous giving up over 3 sacks per game to their opponents. Eagles Center Cam Jurgens will miss this game with a knee injury and although the Eagles offense has been heating up in their past games, I like the Packers defense to dominate this game at home. I’m also going to take Jalen Hurts and Josh Jacobs to score as they both will be the teams primary ball carrier when it’s close to the endzone and Saqoun is still dealing with a groin injury.

Best Bet: Packers ML (+100), 1 Half Under 22.5 (-110)

Player Props: Jalen Hurts TD (+100), Josh Jacobs TD (-150)
